Words have been my compass since childhood. A love of music and art closely follows. These creative pursuits have honed my attention to detail and aesthetic sensibility, while the process of earning my Certificate in Editing from the University of Washington sharpened my skills and armed me with a strong foundation for launching my copyediting career.

My journey began many years ago managing TV programming for a local network affiliate station. I handled the creation and editing of content for network, corporate, staff, and viewer communications, which included correspondence, sales one-sheets, press releases, program descriptions, schedule calendars, contingency plans for live sports, and government compliance documents. This position allowed me to develop a keen eye for detail and a commitment to clarity in all forms of writing.

On the side, I’ve indulged my creative spirit by penning entertainment-oriented copy for a local publisher throughout the years.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me walking on our beautiful Northwest waterfront with my husband or at home, cuddling three elderly felines, all with distinct personalities. I also enjoy oil painting and photography. Word games and reading keep my linguistic gears turning.

A self-professed comedy junkie, I love good standup and gravitate toward cleverly written sitcoms and movies. And when I’m in the mood for intrigue, nothing beats losing myself in a well-crafted, suspenseful mystery—a genre I’d be thrilled to sink my editorial teeth into.

Italian is my second language. Any fly on the wall would likely overhear my husband and me seamlessly switching between English, Italian, and the Napoletano dialect in a single conversation.
